Projects

• Demonstration Gardens
  Polk County has four Florida-friendly demonstration gardens to serve county residents.  Many demonstration gardens were funded by Community Education Grants from the Peace River, Alafia River and Hillsborough River Basin Boards of the Southwest Florida Water Management District. 
• Youth Education
  Local school participate in an annual rain barrel project and learn about water conservation.  Many programs are available to schools and youth groups.
